    Isn't 178 fitted with a Stanier hooter?

Not so sure about it being a 'Stanier' hooter. Apparently it came with the engine when the Bluebell acquired it in the 60s

323 has a Chime from a BR Class 5 and 178 has a Stanier Hooter.

It is a hooter, but I'm not sure it's a Stanier hooter. Hooters were very common in Scotland (the Stanier hooter was actually a Caledonian design) and the hooter on this engine might have come from a Scottish built industrial loco. Does it have any markings on it to identify it as of LMS origin?

    Regards

I've just looked at the images on the Bluebell site and my own. On the Bluebell site there are some photos of 323 being relaunched. It has its number one of its bunkers (though not on the other). However on the Sunday when I went down in the morning and the number was not present on either side. Any idea why this happened. Was it just for the loco being launched and will be reinstated when its in proper service
