Ah, right. I had the impression, from the previous posts, that the tender 44932 was using recently had been given to 45699 in the last few weeks for her test runs. Since they were actually swapped a year or two back, there's no issue (except for anyone who needs to keep a record of these things).

The Fowler tenders that many Jubes were built with were 3500 galls and there were a few Stanier tenders of the same capacity, but by far the majority were 4000 galls, either built for the Jubilees or swopped with ones from 8Fs.

Great videos, in all of them the loco's exhaust beat sounds superb.

Iirc 44932 emerged initially with the tender from the jub as a matter of expedience because the 5 tender had been "modified" by the previous owner and needed more work.
As to differences, the tender behind the 5 always seems large somehow to my eyes.

Anyone know if she has had her paintwork completed yet? Looks a bit naked without her boiler lining.

Looks to be fully lined out in the photos I've seen. LMS/BR red locos only had a single line on the front boiler band, nothing else.

I stand corrected on the boiler but she still has no lining above the wheels?

Agreed that the splashers ought to have the appropriate lining but, as there is no prototype for it, there is no definitive answer!

Ah yes, before they put that god awful bathtub streamlining on :(. I think there should be a line at the back of the firebox as well, not sure if 45699 has it at present.

Don't think she's been out since the private charter in East Anglia. They might have been fixing any problems and making final adjustments.

She's due on the Cumbrian Mountain Express on Thursday with 46115 though so hopefully she'll be on that. A nice sight of a Jube and Scot even if one is red and one is green (unless 45699 has been repainted since the private charter)

Yes, I thought it was either/or, not both. The double-header is supposed to be The Fellsman on the 1st Wednesday in August, IIRC.

But it gets the loco and the train into the press and for 99% of the readership they will have no knowledge or interest in any detail errors.

When one considers the big picture its not really a big issue in my opinion, any positive mainstream media attention should be grasped.
