    It's such a shame to see it under tarpaulin but at least it is under cover (of sorts). Hopefully as and when they get the boiler sorted out they will think to have the ticket renewed so that the loco can be enjoyed for a long period

    I'm trying to recall whether I read an article in Steam Railway Magazine saying that Crewe had been given the green light to work on 6100 after 60009 was out and about. Does Anybody else recall this?

    I heard it from Steve Lathem ( is that how you spell his surname) back at the kwvr gala in Feb. So I'm presuming that will start soon.

    I saw a picture of the frame w/o the boiler dated from July of this year.

    I think is being worked on in Crewe. They finished union of S.A. and the b1 so presumably it's all being worked on inside at Crewe.
