Interesting, the returns on Companies House show an enormous number of shareholders, although there are one or two names which stand out....

The most recent confirmation statement lists hundreds of "Ordinary A" shareholders, but the "Ordinary B" shareholder(s) are not listed.

Perhaps Mr B is the approx 50% shareholder?

I see Mr JH is listed as a shareholder, although certainly not the largest shareholder (yet)!

The chap that invested heavily in both the 76 and 44767 was Jon Oldcorn IIRC. He also bought and sold the 8F now owned by SRPS.

Not as I am an embittered East Lancastrian :'( the 76 being a Lower Darwen engine.

Err, only 2 of those were funded by donations from a benefactor, 2 were donated by the benefactor who brought them to the NYMR, one was bought back from the benefactor who bought the unrestored locomotive from the NYMR and funded its return to steam, another from the previous owner (in both cases at good prices but largely funded from ordinary cash flow), whilst another loco whose number you didn't seem able to bring yourself to write in full was bought on HP!

No offence intended Steven, "the 76" mentioned is 76084 not 79 although both were LD engines. Just jealous!

I'd love someone to buy it for the NYMR to add to the Whitby compatible fleet and it would make a lot of sense - it's a type the NYMR already have and knows works well on the railway and Whitby-suitable engines aren't thick on the ground, whilst many of the shareholders have NYMR connections - but sadly I can't see it happening. It will be interesting to see where it winds up, but my money would be on the NNR, where it is fairly crucial to their running to Cromer. Indeed, given the short period for registration of interest I suspect that a tentative deal already exists and the owning group is going through the motions. If they were looking to get the best possible price they would probably have advertised it more widely and for longer.

79 was never at Lower Darwen. It was a Sutton Oak loco.

None taken and apologies for misunderstanding - but, come on, a comment on an NP thread actually about the subject of the thread - a rare 'cop' indeed!;):D

Is 76084 still crucial to the NNR Cromer services, with the N2 now available and future plans for the B12 to work to Cromer as well?

With the NYMR and NNR now working closely on the Cromer services could there be scope for NYMR based locos to visit the NNR? So, maybe, 76084 could be spending time at both the NNR and NYMR? Just speculation on my part

I don't think the N2 is actually ready for the cromer services yet is it?

Out of interest what speeds can the locos do on the section between sheringham and cromer?
