Last Saturday turned out to be a hectic day with the IOW Steam Railway Members' Day and AGM taking place on the same day ast the end of the slam-door stock on the Lymington branch.

Fortunately it turned out to be a wonderful day as far as the weather was concerned. The IOWSR provided Class 03 no D2059 and three brake vans to take members from Smallbrook Junction to Havenstreet for the AGM, and Terrier no W8 Freshwater with a train of London, Chatham & Dover Railway four-wheelers for the afternoon specials. There was also an opportunity to look round parts of the Havenstreet site that are not usually open to the public.

I then caught a bus across the Island to Yarmouth for the ferry to Lymington to photograph the last daylight trains on the branch and ride on the last couple of round trips.
