Hey anyone seen Casualty on BBC1 tonight? I believe the Avon Valley Railway has just been shown.

V authentic soundtrack for the Ruston shunter and four-wheel wagons [..or not as the case may be lol ], followed by a quick view of class 73 'The Royal Alex'.

    Hope it's of interest,

    Gareth

Ps. Am not normally a fan of this show - just caught it while flicking through channels.

    And why not?

I did see it, wasn't paying excessive attention to the trains - liked the screw link coupling though.

There's the link, for which the action (for us) starts at around 42 minutes in. A potential note of caution to folks watching though; it does involve a scene where a bloke gets run down and killed (by the 73!).

Its an interesting little sequence, featuring both locos - although I think the Ruston would be flattered that the Beeb think it can go that fast (the sequence has been sped up!). The wagons look very nice too - don't some of them belong to Paddy Goss?
