Question - Not sure if it's true or not but did hear from somewhere that there's no eth fitted stock at churnet?

Any plans to rectify this? just as there's both the 33s plus 47524 that have the ability to provide eth. also saves having to top & tail them with a steam loco.

There is no ETH, and no plans to alter.

We need people to support the Steam Heat Van, as this will more than cope with our needs.

I'll chuck a few quid towards that for definite. Not many steam heat vans in pres that work & enables the diesel fleet to work solo during the winter which will be good.

Is the stock dual brake or vac only?

Vac only. There is the odd duel brake coach kicking about out of service, but the railway have removed the air brakes and electric heat from most of its coaches during their major restorations.

Ok so recently we’ve had TSOs E3809 and S4046 arrive plus SO M4366. This all forms part of our plans to increase our service stock for Leek, with services planned to commence in 2022 !

An appeal is being run to raise the funding for the purchase and transport of these three vehicles to CVR.

I'll look at updating this thread more fully when I’m back in the office next week.

It's been a while. So CK 15663 has arrived and will eventually be restored for what will become the B-set.

The first coach from the recent acquisition project has now been restored. E3809 is to make its debut during Polar Express.
First Leek Coach Restored - North Staffordshire Railway Co. (1978) Ltd. (nsrailway.co.uk)

    This gives us our first completed 6-coach rake for A-set of: E3809 / E4354 / S4392 / M16155 / W4786 / M35473.

    B-set will comprise of: S4046 / 15663 / M4795 / M35343 + 2x others TBC.
The BSK is already restored, and preparation work is underway for S4046 to enter the works in the New Year.

And another coach... Brake Post Office Stowage Van NUA no. 80457 has arrived after being purchased privately. It's immediate use will be to help with storage, such as the North Pole landscape upon the completion of this year's Polar XP specials.
