    What is it with the current growing trend for coach roundels and yellow 1st stripes on blood and custard stock?

    I'm fairly certain that they weren't ever used on this livery and the roundels weren't even on every vehicle on the later liveries........

    Not against it, just seems odd that RIviera and several preserved lines seem to have started doing it...

    Quite right, the roundels came in with the Maroon livery of 1956. Incidently Mk1 coaches never had yellow stripes, that is an invention of some heritage railways who rely on old photographs, should be Middle Buff.
