It took me 6 months to get around to putting Part 1 together. May get round to Kurseong to Darjeeling later in November.

Being to old and fragile to go myself but I have looked the video with intense interest.Thank You and I will wait for part two.
I like the idea of filming the view of the driver a little behind him and wonder how to do a filming of a complete scene of drivers view during one of the z reversals.
The cab platform is not very stable and I wonder if the 740 Klien -Lindner from Matheran would have been more usefull on the route.
We have an 0-8-0 Klien-Lindner running every saturday in summer near Copenhagen

    What happened with the 740?

For a side view of locomotive

Nice video, and looks like a fun line.

It is a fun line with absolutely no pretension of being preserved or defending the danish empire.
Foolish old men playing trains, entertaining spoiled kids and their grandparents,(been there ,done that),and everybody having a good time.
It will still interest me if some enthousiast going to Matheran will ask local drivers if the Orenstein &Koppel (740) or the DHR class B was best.
Both classes have climbed up there.
My problem is that it is difficult improving the class B.
The big question is how important was the very low centre of gravity on the class B?
How many harmless derailments would have been nasty if CG had been one foot higher?
