    Hi all,

A leather driver's bag has recently come into my possession and I was wondering whether someone could demystify me about the letters on the panel on the front.

    It reads:

B.R.B (I presume this means British Railways something)
A.M.I.O (The latter two digits could be numbers or letters)
    Derby

Also, if anyone knows a decent site where I can find more information about Derby shed from BR days I'd be very grateful.

    Thanks

BRB would refer to British Railways Board. The Board covered the period post 62. Before 62 it was BR Executive.

A.M.I.O could simply be a drivers initials. Alternativly, and a pure guess, could it be the bag of a riding officer. for example Assistant Mechanical Inspection Officer

As I said a pure guess based on reading Dick Harvey's autobiography
