The Middleton Railway has avaialable an LNER 12T van for disposal and could be free to a good home. Transport at your cost, though!. If anybody is interested, PM me. It does need some work doing on it but I don't think that it is too bad. Details here:

1930 seems a bit late for a wooden frame.
    Is this date correct?

As James (and my original post) stated it is at the Middleton Railway, Leeds and has a timber frame. It is not for sale. It is for disposal free to a good home. Basically, our site is very cramped and full up. We are only trying to create some space and cannot see us getting around to a proper restoration. We would prefer it to go to someone who will restore it and put it to better use. It is presently used for storage.
Can't comment on that. It does have a timber u/frame but the date I'm not sure about. I think that there is a build plate and will have a look next time I'm around. Unfortunately someone has tried to break into it in the past and damaged some of the door timbers. If there is genuine interest anywhere I will get some photos.
