Lovely, reminds me of the videos that sometime knocked around of the Tyseley Panniers out on running in turns, restoring heritage and having fun!

Would She have been operated on roadside tramways in Brussells without 'Cowcatchers' and sidesheets?

No answer, but I can certainly see why you're asking. Keep an eye out for the promised updates, I guess.

I am wondering why they didn't consider electric firing .... just not terribly seriously. ;)

Driven from eccentrics inside the frames with a rocker shaft through. I don't know for sure, but I'd guess they're on the leading axle to give a reasonable length of eccentric rod in the envelope available. Obviously it would be difficult to arrange that sort of folded configuration entirely outside the frames.

The eccentrics are on the leading axle and, for the avoidance of doubt, the cylinders are at the rear of the loco. Why this arrangement was used, I can't say but it was quite common to vary such designs to get around patents and this may well be the simple reason why.

there's some more footage of Lucie's trip to Belgium here
