Ah - Southern Africa Railways running late maybe? Nothing new there then. Did you mean Victoria UK?

Very nice climb of the hills of Streatham and Selhurst, lost its grip a couple of times but kept pretty good speed considering it's all on single yellows and reds.

Apart from departing Victoria (SA) :) and Clapham, the bear on our back has been sleeping.
    Passing south croydon..1128

So, it was via platform 15 at Clapham Junction after all! Caught a few out I noticed, who expected it through the fast line as in previous years.

No trains towards Hastings until at least 2.30 being reported here... Cuts it a bit fine for our return...

    1459 off Eastbourne, 32 late.

37686 up front, beats a 47 any day.

Father Christmas is coming through the train... Speaks with an east London accent and it's not Les.

Definitely a bit of a box clever run back, indeed I think most if it was, despite very good running we still seem to be losing time.

The "Deltic" was in fact a Class 37.

Be careful about having knowledge of different types of diesel loco. You'll be run out of town by the 'box police'!

I wish it was a Deltic, could have been worse, like a 67.

Well stonking run back into the capital from Tonbridge onwards green all the way in..no messing (& no shoving)

I think tangmere put on a good show today (I've more wheel slip recordings than I've had before ).

Very good day out, went to Eastbourne for chips and fish by steam.
