My wife and I are hoping to visit the SVR on Friday 26th August, arriving at Kidderminster for the first train at 10:30

Can anyone recommend an itinerary to make the most of the day?
Is it worth trying to see the whole line quickly or just do part of the line plus the Engine House?

    All suggestions appreciated!

If you haven't been to the SVR before then I'd recommend a trip right through to Bridgnorth first, then stop off at the stations on the way back depending on how you are for time.
Too much to see in one visit!

Tricky one, Bridgnorth is very nice and by getting the 10.30 you are giving yourself time to do other things. Any time restrictions?
If you're not that limited and can stay, I would suggest having lunch in Bridgnorth and then maybe going round the Engine House before coming back.

If you're going to stop off at Highley for the Engine House, lunch in the Ship (a short walk down the hill from the station) is worth considering. We've always found the food good and not badly priced

Thanks for the replies folks (more suggestions still welcome!)

No real restrictions on time - I would guess we would probably be trying to get a train back from Kidderminster to Birmingham around 5-6pm, so really we should have the full day on the line.

    Thanks again
