Surely it would be a Bf109 not a Spitfire?

If the blonde in a Basque & pink stockings is reading, please can she be so good as to warn me - and there may be others of the events she is attending in order that I can get the OK from my GP before I consider going

My only visit to Chatham Dockyard a few years ago coincided with a steampunk event. Sadly no basques or pink stockings, but it certainly certainly added something to the day.

In the 'strange' department, last year the Severn Valley advertised a "Day of Dance" with "Traditional Morris Dancers performing up and down the Railway". In terms of attracting customers, a day of Morris Dancing must be on a par with Marmite...

A study of some of the American tourist lines can come up with some gems. The Cuyahoga Valley RR in Ohio are having a "Truffle Making" event on two dates this year, not to mention a "Princess PJ party" which one assumes is aimed at children turning up in their pajamas...........
