As there isn't a "free to a good home" section on NP, this seems as good a place to put this in case any museum happens to be looking for heritage streetlight fittings.
As part of a sort out of things that have been accumulated over the years and aren't likely to be used, the Ipswich Transport Museum have 11, 1950's era Sodium streetlight fittings to dispose of, most of which look like this....

They were given to us about 30 years ago when the remaining lights of this style were being replaced in this area and are complete with the brackets to attach them to lamp posts and former trolleybus traction poles.
They have been offered to 3 Museums which do have operational trams/trolleybuses with no apparent interest in them, (though one of them did take some older ones off our hands) so, before they end up being dumped, are there any rail museums that might find them useful?
No doubt the general appearance of the things could be retained with new LED fittings (or other) fitted inside rather than the old-style orange light that they used to give out.
If any Museum is interested, please get in contact with me........
