Errrrr...... I think we've got too many Ians around here.

    Ian Howitt built Tornado's tender
Ian Matthews painted Tornado's tender (three times now, at least)
    Ian Hewitt painted Scotsman
    Ian Matthews painted Scotsman's tender

    Confused? I am.... :confused1:

Even worse if both Howitt and Hewitt were painters!

I see 60163 has been removed from Steam Dreams trips to Weymouth (17th Aug) and Norwich (21st Aug) and has been replaced by 70000. Anyone have any idea why these changes have been made?

All of this years trips with 60163 were planned to be WCRC jobs until dispute earlier this year meant a change of TOC if they wished to use it. How come the trips to Bristol, Worcester and York early in the month are still with 60163 but the others have changed? Maybe Steam Dreams have encountered some problems with changing TOC?

I have to admit, that just about sums up the attraction of the "Torbay Express" series....

nice picture, brunswick green engine, chocolate and cream coaches, and no copper or brass to be seen , only one thing would have been better if it had been a unrebuilt bulleid at the business end

I wonder if Pannier Man has clocked the centre page spread in "Heritage Railway"? The mug in the cab looks familiar!

I hardly dare mention this (in view of the debate in the railway press at the moment) but I have been told (as they say, "on good authority") that the shade of BR green changed from '48 to '68 with a darker shade appearing with the late crest - can anyone confirm/deny this?

That's the problem with Barton Hill and many other mainline depots, it's very hard to stand back to take a photo, other stock and buildings always seem to get in the way! B****y Voyagers are the usual culprits at Bristol BH.....
