Not at all. Realise it was a tongue in cheek comment.
First and last time I start a livery debate...
Any plans for the B12 to be repainted in BR black? I actually quite like the look of it in BR lined black.
Didn't know that the J15 was less powerful than Ring Haw.
A discussion on another thread regarding the lack of requests to hire the J15 made me wonder which of the NNR home fleet received the most hire...
For my own personal obscure reasons K3 61959
I would have thought for galas, when there is a hankering for something a bit different to the usual workhorse fleet, there would have been more...
Surprised there is not more demand to hire the Y14, the only operational standard gauge locomotive in GER livery.
I think the Y14 would look at home at Colne Valley or the Mid-Suffolk
I was under the impression that since it's last overhaul the NNR J15/Y14 did have a load limitation imposed to about 4 carriages, but could still...
Wonder if the NNR would make an offer to overhaul the N7 in return for its use for a few years, like it did back in 2005. Imagine a B12, J15, J17...
Would like to see in steam on the NNR, or at least on static display at Bressingham or the EARM.
Is there a chance of this ever being returned to steam? I think it should return to East Anglia, even if just as a static exhibit.
Maybe. I always thought if 43106 ever came on the market the M&GN Society would be the first in line...
To me, the Britannias are the best looking locomotives out there.
I’d read that the Eastern Region crews who said that the ‘Clans’ were no better than a ‘good B1’, were worried that they may lose their Britannias...
Just read on the Gresley Society website that rather than being a three year loan, the move of the N2 to the NNR is permanent.
I take it that graffiti is not that much of a regular occurrence on the NNR though?
I’m glad the rarer coaches are safely locked away in the carriage sheds.
It’s the locomotive department of the NNR that interests me the most so will look forward to updates.
