    Modelling the 1970's is becoming more and more popular at the moment. Look at some of Kier Hardy's layouts like Wibdenshaw for a bit of serious inspiration!

    Personally I think the blue/grey livery really suits the HST and 30 years on it still looks the best of all they have carried, but that's getting too close for my liking to a livery debate...

    Not suprising, if your modelling purely the Diesel Era then the 70's is the time period with the most variety as opposed to today's D/Emu's and 66's ](*,)

    Could be that the "disposable income" age group remember the 1970's, BR steam was in demand 10years ago so logically it will go through the decades as time goes on.

    Am I mistaken or have Hornby got it wrong? I was under the impression that only one power car should have a guard's window.
