    Hi all,
    It is with great sadness that I report the passing of John Hett, Midland Railway Trust General Manager.
    He passed away during the early hours of Thursday 1st January 2009 and had been diagnosed with cancer in the spring of 2008.
    He was a great person and a very good friend to many, on and off the railway and will be dearly missed.

    This is very sad news, i have known John for many years and although we lost touchm still have fond memories of him from the early days at Butterley, he will be sorely missed by many.

    Please pass my condolences to Andrea and his colleagues.
