    Morning all,

Just thought I'd share a few pics of Minor, a little Jung loco plinthed in Iceland. Her sister, and the other half of Icelands only two steam locos, is in the open air museum in Reykjavik.

Minor is on display outside the harbour that it helped build, and is kept very well despite the sea air.

Very interesting! I didn't know Iceland had any railways at all, so that's definitely something to look at when I can get myself and the missis up there on holiday!

    Richard.

The Icelanders have the distinction of having preserved 100% of their steam fleet!

Brings back memories of a super weekend there two years ago ( mind you I had to miss Britannia chasing Galatea up Shap ).
Here's a shot I took from the Harpa Concert Hall on 31/05/15. Although Minör looks in good condition and well cared for I did think it looked just a little lost on the harbour side there.
The museum where Pionér is preserved is only open at limited times (weekdays June to August) so missed seeing that one.

It's a great place and I'd love to get back sometime.

The entire Falkland Islands steam fleet - a pair of Kerr Stuart Wrens - also survives, albeit in poor condition.
