I wonder what the respective repair bills will be?

 

What goes through these people's minds? 'Hmm there's a hundred odd tons coming down the street, what could possibly go wrong?'

Looking at the loco, not a lot. The Merc... Two new doors, at least one new tyre, plus who knows what other damage it's incurred. Oops!

 

Perhaps he should have remembered the old pneumonic - Mirror, Signal, Manoever!

 

Or No Mirror No Signal, Molliebahn!

 

Don't like to comment and refer to stereotypes. But Drivers of German cars and thinking that they are owed the use of the road.

 

As the car is a left-hooker I suspect the driver may have been shaken, if not stirred.

Merc. driver: Sorry I don't understand the question. What are indicators and mirrors? I drive a Mercedes so everyone will automatically get out of my way.
Insurer: OK fine, have a hefty insurance premium rise.

 

I remember my father's comment when I first visited him at Rheindalen. It was to the effect that a German driver would rather die than yield his right of way.
