Is that still happening? No loco listed on RTC website, though it is on BLS's Facebook page. There's a Southall to Orton Mere 5Z96 move tomorrow, which is rumoured to be 45596.

I think the website was being updated at the time, because when I took my first screen shot it said the 24th July.

The DCE 19/8 has disappeared from the website so presumed cancelled - no loco?
While 45690 Leander has been confirmed for the Royal Duchy's on the 29/8 and 12/9, there is no loco confirmed loco yet for the DCE on the 2/9 and Swanage Belle on the 9/9.

 

Probably so. Their blurb for the DCE on 2 September says "Each train will be hauled by a steam locomotive that was built for express passenger train work". Then ; "Our train leaves London Victoria station at around 08:45 steam hauled by a Black V". Why not call it a 'Black Five', which more people would understand, and isn't it stretching it a tad to claim 'Black Fives' were built for express passenger work? They also say the train will be hauled from Weymouth by 31806 but an asterisk then points to a footnote that it will be diesel-hauled on this section - why not just change the text instead of this confusing mixed message?

 

Anyone know if the R.T.T. times have been released yet for the cotswold venture I got a Email of R.T.C. saying they still are awaiting the final timings of N.R. is this tour still going ahead I wonder?

 

Timings have been appearing at the 11th hour for tours that aren't on regular paths recently, so usually tomorrow or Friday is the best time to check

The Royal Duchy of 29th August should be fun as it's going to be 45690+POB+7. Will be interesting how it compares to 45407 when it took 8 in 2014.

 

35028 has left Paddington on the way to Worcester load 11 and I'm pretty sure no diesel (difficult to tell from the front of the train)
