Yes I am an active volunteer
Watched it at 1pm today. Was a pretty good show. Features quite a lot of footage from the Tornado documentary.

It was originally on in 2008, I think it was comemorating 40 years since steam was withdrawn. They had this on a stack on BBC digital, a documentary on the building of Tornado (which this had clips of), and Ian Hislop talking about the background to the cuts, including nices shots of deserted railways and some footage of him on the Severn Valley Railway (if I remember rightly). This has been on many times (and I would agree, deserves to be) but I dont think the Ian Hislop programme has been seen since. It had some interesting archive footage of an interview with Beeching in the early 80s and would be worth seeing again.

Yes Bob, I think I will go to Didcot, since as well as the Kings, there will be the Cathedrals Express with 70000 passing through on its way to and from Stratford. I'll post you the DVD though, just to make sure.

    Very Best Wishes,
    Bob.
