Believe it or not, a return ticket is cheaper than a single one. And what is more, you need the return ticket to get back out of the station. I used to do it at Reading when the "Gestapo" station staff would not let enthusiasts on the platforms.

Same type of staff at Loughborough ! Very anti enthusiast ! Your right about needing a return ticket to get through the barrier. I had to get the attendant of his Arse, to let me out, and he wasn't to happy !

They were indeed side by side...

There was a man from Network rail here, but everyone seemed quite relaxed about plenty of people were on the wrong side of the level crossing barriers - with a mainline in the foreground. A train did come through while I was there, however there was plenty of time for everyone to move and get behind the barriers.

Two good looking gents there.... but I'm sure one of them should be in the kitchen, or is he allowed out now and again for good behaviour. :)

It was a very popular location. I guess the attraction was a main line steam train using the Sleaford avoiding line rather than going through the station.

Yes, the air may have got cold in the last few days but the ground is still warm encouraging a late growth.

Oh dear. Who are those two reprobates standing on the wrong side of the cattle-grid. Just because they have high-vis's on....
