Was heading a Pathfinders Tour to Canterbury

Was going to film this at Denham, but it appears to have struck trouble, with a 180 minute delay at Leamington Spa. Any idea of what happened here?

Failed brakes on a coach, requiring the coach to be removed from the train - based on facebook postings.

3 hours to get a coach off a train ?, what did they do dismantle it bit by bit ?

There seems to be a bit of an array of delays (and cancelations) at the same time this was going on... 200+ minutes at least...

Well presumably they had to drag the train out of P3 and away somewhere to detach the coach. That's bound to have taken some time.

I did wonder why there was a virgin liveried coach sat in the bay at Lem today.

Thankfully I don't think it's a WCRC set of stock or else I suspect the Internet may have broken!

Just goes to show that trains occasionally break and using DBS/Riveira does not automatically mean better reliability.

Yes this was a DBS operation, so for those who are quick to have a dig at WCR when things go wrong please take note!

Not the usual state of affairs with DBS though and at least it seems that they were able to sort it out, managed to defer return departure for an hour and persuade NR to tweak the path so they got home more or less to time. But it's certainly true that you wouldn't want any charter to run into difficulties no matter who the TOC was.

I did see in that video a WCR 47 on a railtour went past, so I'm sure the passing whirlwind caused a disturbance in the time/space continum to cause the issue to occur hours before the train passed...
