Are you referring to the branch to Bexhill West from Crowhurst? If so, there is a book by Peter A Harding "The Bexhill West Branch Line", published by himself in 2002, ISBN 0 9523458 6 2, which I bought from a bookseller at a model railway exhibition a year or two after publication.

But this doesn't seem to tie in with your references to "East Grinstead" and "the Tunbridge line". Can you give us a bit more information about the line you are trying to get information on?

sorry sir, the spur in question branched off the east grinstead line half way between hurst green and lingfield and connected with the tonbridge line , approx 1000 yards later to form a sort of triangle on the landscape, it had a full time signal box at each end but thats all i know, appologies for the confusion.

No problem - I found it on the map eventually. If you are particularly interested in the signal boxes, the forum at http://forum.signalbox.org/index.php, under the 'Historic' section, may be worth trying to ask on. Another possible source of information is the Signalling Record Society.

    Additional information:
Crowhurst Junction is covered in two of the Middleton Press's books:
Croydon to East Grinstead, pages 91-93
Steaming through Surry - page 98

    Hope this helps.
