    Hi All,

Its that time of year again and time to talk about our Spring Diesel Gala.

Our 2015 Spring Diesel Gala is the weekend of 18th and 19th April. Information will be added and updated as and when we can confirm it.

Lots of ideas and suggestions for visitors this year to compliment our extensive home fleet of diesels. As yet no visitors confirmed but lots of irons in fires.

From the Home Fleet both 03s are now healthy and will see their place restored in the line up. 31438, 37029, 47635 and Thumper 205205 will all be in the line up. New addition to the fleet Peak 45132 is still undergoing restoration but the Autumn gala is a possibility.

Evening trains, extensive running, heritage buses, beer and non stop trains all feature again and we are looking at adding Brake Van rides in our overhauled 'Shark' and Fish and Chip train on Saturday night.

In addition, subject to works and approvals completed in time it is hoped to be able to use the full length of the line for the first time ever at the Diesel Gala giving the locos over 6 miles of running and now exposed to the steepest part of the line 1 in 57!

    Cheers M

Any chance of another visit from an EE Type One?!

We had a Type 1 lined up but unfortunately the work to be undertaken has taken longer than thought. However a Type 2 has been suggested from the same railway.

I am waiting for confirmation of that.

Also we have an iron in the fire for a 'small' loco from the mainline. Again waiting confirmation.

    Cheers M

Have to pay a return visit, had a cracking day out there last year. Smashing little railway that seems to try and do things properly.
