61306 - Norwich to Windsor 11/02

RTT shows movement from Sheringham to Norwich this evening was completed on time

 

Someone babysitting all night then....nice job in the warm of the cab !!

 

There are a number of updates on twitter from people working on her. She has been running up and down the NNR on test and has been cleaned superbly by a team of NNR volunteers ready for her ML return tomorrow. She looks fantastic. Can't wait till Saturday.

Well this looks like its making good progress. Pleased to say my appointment got moved so I am at trackside waiting for this momentous moment.

Excellent pic Ian. Thanks for posting it so early. Scanning through the series the 47 looks as if it's shut down, the vents aren't even open.

 

Will post a picture or two when I can, but I was impressed with 61306 at Hackney Wick - accelerated up the short but steep-ish (1 in 100 or so?) grade from Lea Junction with 10 coaches plus a dead 47 making an equivalent of 13-14 coaches - not bad at all for a class 5.

 

Bravo to all the people who made this day possible

 

The scrum at Windsor....and that's only about a third of it. The bridge outside of the station looked in danger of collapse. Never seen so many people on a small bridge!

More than a smidgeon of diesel "shoveage" by the sound of it, unlike the Ingatestone clip.

It does a bit. Though, will it be as reliable, as a, Black Five ?? Time will tell, I suppose.

Congrats to the guys at the NNR, it looked a million dollars.

 

Looks as though West Coast have repainted that coach rake, at least appeared so in one of the videos, they look smart, at least on the outside.

Have to say, unlike the LMS counterpart, the B1 has a real whistle, not a "hooter" !!
