Is 61306 Vac only or dual ?, I think it's vac but being ex Nene Valley in the past makes it possible.

Yes I thought that about the rake, very smart. That whistle got everybody's attention in the station!

Just so. Make no mistake. If you need to get away quickly with the equivalent of 14 then a Class 5 will need a shove and so the Circular on Saturday with 10 (and apparently no diesel) is exactly the right load in my view. Having said all that this B1 looks and sounds really good and is a credit to all those who have worked on her and are supporting her currently. The fact that the new owner has seen fit to let her go main line is something that we should also be very grateful for.

Couldn't agree more and looking forward to the March 1st trip. My first B1 haulage on the main line since 1976 and that one was double headed with a Black 5.

Here is my video from Sunnymeads, and then from Hanwell & Elthorne on the GWR on the move to Southall:

She looked and sounded really good, congratulations to all the team who turned her out.

Some great pictures and videos folks.
I rather liked this one on YT with the sound of a B1 hard at work echoing out over London again:

When I think back to the 60's when I saw Mayflower hundreds of times in Hull, I can hardly believe it is the same loco!

But did you see Mayflower or 61306 those hundreds of times? In the '60s those were not the same loco...

By some accounts the original Mayflower was the dog of the B1 fleet.

Two shots from this morning - 61306 charging across the River Stour near Catterwade (Manningtree) and speeding through Ingatestone. The video's processing right now and hopefully will be live within the next 20-30 minutes...
