34092. 3802 is in the next column working an ECS from goods to Llan, so there may have been a printing issue there.

The requirement to fully platform carriages at new stations arises from Railway Group Standards which were last revised in March 2014 if I remember correctly. There are also quite a lot of other new regulations, one of them requires new stations to be on level track AFAIK. Corwen being a new station would come under different rules to the other stations.
It's always easy to blame 'internal politics' but often such matters are outside the railway's control.

I think the 14:42 carrog to llangollen on the second Saturday should be 3802 not 34092 as printed. I think there has just been a mix up between this and the one I mentioned before

This is quite correct. The railway has had written instructions from the O.R.R. as to how we can operate the new extension to Corwen East, with particular emphasis on the number of vehicles allowed, & propelling.
The 6880 group had the choice of longer trains to Carrog , with a shuttle to Corwen, or shorter trains through to Corwen.
We hope to have the permanent terminus ready by 2018 latest, with 8 coach length platforms.
If you're crammed into the blood & custard set this Saturday , I will probably be serving in the bar coach, so feel free to come & prop up the bar.

    Bob.

14.42 is 3802, 16.20 is 34092. Slight mistake in the timetable that one. Has been rectified for the crew timetables, though probably just a little late for the guide book.

Will there be an amended sheet available on the day for those who don't know of the error?

The 16:20 is right in the brochure, it is just the 11:34 and the 14:42 which are the wrong way round in the brochure timetable!

SSS2 had six sets in use at the weekends.
    - 2x Autocoaches (nearly had 3)
    - 3x Subs + Saloon (was supposed to have a BG too, but this failed its Brake Test)
    - 7x Carmine & Cream (inc Thompson Buffet)
    - 5x Maroon (inc Beavertail)
    - 5x Choc/Cream
    - Demo Goods

There is the capacity timetable wise, just the Corwen platform length clearly restricts what can/can't be done.

I seem to recall the saloon doing a fair bit of swapping between the subs and the chocolates. It definitely did 1 run with the chocolates behind 3440 piloting 5199. I also remember it was on the first train of the gala behind 9017 on the subs out of Llan, which wasn't supposed to have it on.

The TRPS requested it for their AGM Recreation, so on the first Saturday it was put on the Choc/Cream set. However it wasn't released from C&W intime to be shunted up to Carrog before the event, so we took it up on the first train on the Saturday behind 9017.

Was then meant to run all day Monday on the Choc/Cream set, but failed at Llangollen on the first trip with brake issues so was withdrawn from service. Repairs were completed in time for the following weekend though, and so it returned to service with the Subs behind 6100. :)

Is anyone else still waiting for their timetable/roster? My travel ticket arrived last week, but no sign of the WTT yet...

Ok. Good night, lads. Sleep tight! I'll see you in the morning. Give that Brit with too many wheels a good walloping off the bridge!
