Thank you all for your help on Frickley(?)/Grimethorpe No.5. I shall settle for VF 5296.

Whilst we're looking at industrials (a rarity for me), could this be Peckett 1370, fotted at Stourport, also in 1973?

If so, the comparison with this:

    is incredible!

Don't think that is the same loco, looks physically much larger. Apart from the cab/boiler fittings differences, the buffer beams are stepped up on the preserved loco (which I also believe had a solid Lancahire history?)

More like on of these Peckett's.

    [S11] PECKETT 2103 of 1948

Peckett of Bristol produced a large number of 0-4-0ST locomotives for industrial use. 2103 is a variation of the normal design, having a low cab so that it could work in the confines of the wagon tippler at Croydon power station.

I gather that Ian R may be replacing some parts during its current overhaul.

Yes, I guess that's right. It's strange I've only found one pic. I thought it might be Mountain Ash! What happened to them?

All saved in one place or another. The pannier is at Llan. Others dotted around a few railways mostly in Wales. The Peckett Sir Gomer is at Shackertone. The big Hudswell is at a caravan park up here at Pilling aka the Pig.

Fair enough, thanks, I was only looking on my phone and going off memory of what RESCO had on their premises in old books
