Much more fun to turn up on the day and enjoy the railway and any new treats that are on offer.

In an ideal world yes, sadly I cannot make this one for various reasons (as much as I would like to) and therefore won't be coming until September.

Can only agree with this, another great day at Statfold. Lots of work gone into the developments round the station, the new footbridge deserves a mention as is superbly engineered. On the loco front the Davenport is an absolute gem, and it was nice to finally see the two Pakis Baru locos in action having not seen them running on my previous visits

Footage is starting to appear on Youtube. Goodness me but that Davenport is a credit to all concerned. The replica Galloping Goose is very impressive too.

I missed the Davenport in India and never expected to ride in a brake van behind it! Double headed by an ex mainline Sragi Mill loco........
Thank you so much for a remarkable event(again!)

Hi yes HC1172 of 1924. 8 1/2 x 12 inch cylinders, 24inch coupled wheels, 200 Gal tanks, 26 cu ft bunker, 144 PSI working pressure, approx. 12 ton operational, supplied in Hudsons Usual Middle Green !

Dispatched by HC 14/5/24. Originally ordered in 1915 for a customer in Rhodesia, order cancelled and not sold until 1924. via Hudson India. Left Birkenhead on SS Malakhand to Calcutta

From the Ryam Sugar Works, Bihar, India came back to the UK with the Davenport.

1 of only 6 of the P Class built (below 30 inch gauge) There were another 5 made of larger gauge officially classified as Q Class

    Hope this helps

I noticed that Orenstein & Koppel 0-4-0 Works No 5662 wasn't in the Grain Store, or anywhere else as far as I could see, this year. Anyone know what is happening with it. Always had an appeal to me since I first saw it, a lovely little loco

    Hi Henry,

The new stuff all looks grand from what I've seen on the net! I look forward to seeing the new Hudswell, possibly by September at the rate you've all been cracking on with things recently!

My question is, is there a place where I could find some GA drawings of the Davenport or the new Hudswell for modelling purposes? In a book or anything?

    Cheers,

    Ben
