How about putting one of these in the support coach, will be noisy and chucking oil at you in 4 years time, but you need 630 volts to run it.FISH7373 81C 17181784938_690825f1fc_b.jpg

i think it may have been me who asked the question about fitting compressors in support coaches, of most likely under slung diesel compressors, that would supply the air, so how big would the diesel engine need to be to supply the amount of air needed ? or failing that with the amount of tours that needed a diesel on the back, you do have a ready made supply unit idling away ,as long as it doesn’t fail ;) so could a minimum requirement be that engines have to at least be capable of operating an air braked train, even if they are not supplying the air, for things such as TPWT, can it operate from an air reservoir whilst the engine is not coupled to its support coach, if that’s the primary air supply?
