If 85 is on form, you'll be in for a treat.

A good illustration of just how "soft" a day it was on the Sunday. That last shot, is that the Banteer departure?

So am I. Heading for Cork again myself, and train headed for Tralee this time on the spare day so I'm told.

You have my mate Kevin in the pic. :) I'd also gone the long way round to get a pic from the "right side of the fence" only to find the stewards letting people off the end of the platform.

DSC06293.JPG Sure it's Ireland (and Cork especially)...much better than a couple of years back when people used wander all over the running lines... I tend to stick to the rules myself usually. At least I had this vantage point all to myself!

    You shouldn't be. :)
We used two sets, the NIR Mk.2 set and the IE Cravens set. The Cravens has the far better bar car because as well as the inevitable Guinness, a range of Irish craft ales was available. The O'Hara's Pale Ale was superb.
The English guy who asked for a bottle of GK IPA was booed. :)

The excitement of 85's dash from Dublin to Cork had some people on the edge of their seat with anticipation. :)

How did you find the Cravens comfort wise? There seems to have been a lot of work put into them and they looked superb

Not too bad but as I was stood at a window for most of the time it's hard to give a proper judgement. I certainly heard no complaints from others.
