Bit of a gravity related issue there, it returns via Swindon

 

So it has a chance to show what a Deltic could do on the 'Cheltenham flyer' oh magic!

 

I remember the days of the Deltics at Doncaster. Superb machines.
I'll be at Sapperton this evening to here Alycidon powering up to the summit. <BJ>

 

Dropped a bit of time round Acton Curently 7 late. Hopefully will make up time on Chiltern line

 

Couple of minutes down at Saunderton, sounding lovely and looking superb. Winged thistle on the front, 67005 on the back.

 

Does anyone know if 34027's relief train is open to the public or if it's for the VSOE passengers only? It appears it's a public train on the PDF timetable on the SVR website, as I'd rather like to have a trip behind 34027!

Itis not noted as restricted in TN and as appears in public timetable should be available

 

When I was a bit younger he was telling me about his day trips to Donny, he used to finish off his tales with somthing like 'you'll never see anything like that in your life' that was until 1999 and I'd come home from a day out having 33208 down the Marches then 37412 from Crewe to New Street for Deltic 22 on the Ramsgate. Whilst waiting for 37412 Deltic 19 came Storming through the middle road at Crewe and abosolutly scared the hell out of a hen party on the same platform as me! So that evening when I came home all excited with 'Dad, Dad I know what you mean now, I saw Deltic 19 come through Crewe today!'

 

Acording to RTT crossed over to SVR 3 early

 

A nice picture of 34027 looking stunning on the SVR Twitter account with full Golden Arrow regalia and the wreath for Bert Hitchen, as well as a coat of arms now placed above the nameplate (like 34016 and 34046).

Going by your lovely photos, is this the first time a rebuilt WC and rebuilt BoB have been in steam together in preservation?

I feel your pain Matt, gala's and repeat itinary's on Sundays are out for me for the same reason.

 

Is Archie on the Bluebell classed as a WC or BoB ?.
