I went to their site yesterday and they have the Duchess listed as first guest. Mention of them wanting a black 5 is also there.

How do they manage to get all these engines that no-one else can get?

"The Mid Norfolk Railway is pleased, and honoured to announce the dates for the 2015 Steam Gala as June 19th – 21st 2015. We are pleased to Confirm LMS Duchess of Sutherland will be visiting the railway, and will work alongside our 2015 Steam loco, Furness Railway No.10 “Cumbria”. We are also in discussions to bring an LMS Black 5 to the line for the event, and another locomotive to be announced closer to the time."

Good evening everyone. Sorry for the silence on this event, it has been a turbulent few weeks and months and the line up is now on version 27!!!!

As of tonight we have 46233, 5542 and Cumbria. A 4th loco is being sought which we will announce as soon as possible.

We had planned to have MET1 at the event, but this currently receiving some repairs. We were also going to have 45231, but the sad loss of Mr Hitchen has meant that this is not now possible.

We are investigating the possibilities open to us, but there is a real shortage is steam at the moment.

I really hope people will come and support us, our shed is starting to be built and the Northern extension continues to make progress, so every penny counts.

I will try and keep you up date.

    Kieran

We have tried tirelessly to find a 4th loco for this event, but without luck. We nearly had 985 from the NNR and 4141 from the EOR, but for a myriad of reasons this has mot come off.

Please, please, please come and join us. The longest line in Anglia, with a Duchess, the worlds favourite Prairie, a lovely austerity, three train running and advance tickets.

    Many thanks.

    Kieran and team.

Had a lovely day out at the gala on Sunday thank you. As always a well run event, always seems effortless, no drama and with a cracking headline loco again. Was even treated to the beating of a line side fire outside my window at one point. Had a go on the driver for a fiver at Yaxham, and the DMU run to Hoe.

Bring it on next year. I'll be there.

I'd like to second Nick's comments. It is a friendly line well worth a visit when there is an event on and the Friday run pasts at the private Hardingham station provide something different from galas elsewhere. It's good to see steady progress being made with a number of projects to enhance facilities. As Dereham and Wymondham both benefit from good public transport links it is also easy to visit. Friday was not the brightest of days but as few pictures have been posted:
