A great first day, I've never seen the place so busy.

Roll on the rest of the weekend. We have Green Goddess and Winston Churchill visiting from the RHDR. Great to see them working hard on the hills!

Yes I am an active volunteer
Got back home to Essex yesterday after spending Friday to Sunday at the railway. Very enjoyable weekend.
First two days went without a hitch. However things turned sour for myself after being stuck at coltishall for the best part of two hours in the rain. Rather disappointed that the Romney locos were removed from their trains after the rain came down. With 1 returning light from Hautbois and 9 light from coltishall.

Yes it was a shame the rain came and plans went out the window. Unfortunately our visitors struggled with traction during the rain and trains had to be terminated at Hautbois and Coltishall because of this, a mixture of no sanders and big hills to contend with didn't help the situation. I was waiting at Wroxham during the storm and then assisted at Coltishall following the storm to try to get services back on track. There is no way the visitors would have made it out of Wroxham on the return trip in the damp which is why they were terminated and sent back light engine before reaching Wroxham. This is why No3 was sent to release Green Goddess at Hautbois and No8 was sent from Wroxham to release Winston Churchill at Coltishall.
