    Not sure what you do to edit it and also what to do when you disagree with a definition already there!
    That given for 'fly' shunting is actually called 'loose' shunting and was not generally prohibited and in common use. Fly shunting is where you haul a rake of wagons, uncouple them from the loco whilst on the move and the loco goes one way at a turnout and the wagons are switched to the other line. It was banned, for obvious reasons.
