With just the one or perhaps two vehicles behind her, she shouldn't stall between Ashford and Tonbridge tonight.

    ;)

If the batteries are charged on the MLV, they can give her a shove if necessary!

Hey, good idea. Why not disguise an MLV as a support vehicle and slip it into the consist on all Tangy trains?

That would rather stall the diesel on the back comments!

    ;)

That pretty much echoes an earlier discussion somewhere on here, which identified all sorts of practical objections to what still seems a good idea in principle.

was that because of the ammount of power they could put down ? i can remember several instances of a emu sliding past the station stop in leaf fall season, even with the heavier slam door stock, i was returning home from weybridge one evening it was freezing fog also, and this 4 epb slithered in, we only just stopped at Byfleet ,and didnt even make the platform stop at west Byfleet,we went through non stop at about 20 , it was picking its wheels up so much we were down to walking pace by the time we got to woking.

Does anyone know when 61306 is moving to the North Norfolk for their gala? Considering there's less than 3 days to go until the gala is due to start, they're cutting it a bit fine.

What a waste of a main line registered loco! Especially considering the current shortage in the south. Isn't Tornado stuck at some heritage line as well (Nene Valley)?

Tornado should leave NVR tomorrow apparently. Mayflower may earn more at NNR this weekend than on a (probably cancelled) mainline excursion.
