A shame the Y14 isn't running for this gala but I thought it had been said on the NNR group she is the spare locomotive for the event?

I believe that there are no advance timetables available as it is a £1 fee on the day. We are having gala tickets for Saturday, but arriving at Kelling Heath in the Motorhome on Friday late afternoon. So, as we can't get a timetable until on a train on Saturday is it possible for someone in the know to give us timings for:

    1. The Fish and chip train passing Kelling Heat holt on the Friday evening so that we can see it pass.
2: The time of the first stopper that we can get on at Kelling (Down the gradient towards Weybourne only presumably) on the Saturday morning.

    Many thanks, Nick.

They could at least list the times of the first and last trains on their website.
Surely people need to know that especially if like me have a 300 mile drive to get there.

As predicted a great day out. Yes there was a brush type 2 and a ee type 3 but as they were in green it wasn't incongruous. The b1 and b12 double header was great up Kelling Bank. Food was great again. 5 hours is enough for me. On the train to Norwich now. Strong recommendation from me

    Whats your problem?
I have been unable to visit this summer for 45337 but the gala seemed the ideal time.
I was intending to leave home at 0200 less than 2 hours after I saw 5944s post.
I made no slur on the railway, just thanking 5944 for the information.
Perhaps you would like to tell me face to face that I'm an idiot and a numpty and face the consequences?
Or are you just a TROLL?

I was refering to the idiot on facebook who seemed to think that every preserved railway should have a low loader with somthing ready to go at the drop of a hat. Wasnt refering to yourself. So please calm down I would never post anything that I wouldnt dare say to someones face.

    Anyway ................
Had a great day out on Saturday. Sure there were problems beforehand with failures and no shows, but apart from the occasional smell of diesel in the air you'd never know.
Another super slick, fast moving gala that keeps the whole family entertained, whether obsessed with it or just there for a day out. Good job well done.

I enjoyed all three days. Highlights were lots of 9F action including the double header and the double headed B's. The night time fish and chip specials added real atmosphere. God, it was cold on Friday though with that North wind. First time I have ever known 4/5 layer dodgy weather for this gala. With late withdrawals such as what happened this time, it is easy to see why some heritage lines are reluctant to issue a timetable until the day of the gala. I suspect the normal beautifully produced gala booklet timetable must have gone into the shredder sometime Thursday as we got basic single sheet timetables for all three days, a real shame when someone's hard work goes down the toilet like that.
