Sprinting along at Easenhall, after the stop at Rugby. No sun here, but fortunately just before the torrential rain arrived!

Looks as though the Duchess did all that was asked of her northbound today but what an awful path this train was given on parts of the journey.

Hopefully she ran OK. But RTT shows a delay at and after Carnforth.

I thought it was going to be a disappointing drift through the station until she was opened up and you got that lovely crisp exhaust.

Bit of a bonus seeing 46233 on Shap tonight, albeit with diesel assistance.

The station staff at Oxenholme told me that 46233 was held at the peg outside Oxenholme due to a suspect suicide that turned out to be trespassing further North .

I wonder if the suspect suicide was carrying a camera?

    Cheers,

My ticket said Scots Guardsman for tomorrow so this must be Plan B and is what the SD site is now saying.
