You really did well with that. An unusual and very dramatic shot emerging from the tunnel into the spray.

For once, the background 'interference' from the American ladies adds not detracts from the video!

As you will note from RTT, once we got going the Brit rolled through Newton Abbot 11 minutes ahead of the following Voyager. And arrived at Taunton 12 minutes ahead of it. Paignton - Taunton 62m 59s start to stop. Min 58 at Whiteball, without any thrashing. Yes, a diesel would have been useful - to rescue the Voyager that sat down near Dawlish not long afterwards.

Hope whoever was sitting in the firemans seat was quick enough to get the cab side window shut sharpish otherwise they would have had a rather wet shower, if it wasn't already shut by then!

Nice capture by the way Nick, something different!

I can report that it was nice and toasty on the footplate during the wet and windy sequence. I was on the footplate then, but for once was on the landward side stood behind the driver, no moisture of note entered the cab.

As usual with the Brit the whole trip was exhilarating, it's a MACHINE!

I loved the American lady's input. It added drama and excitement. The steam shot of the year in my view. Well done Nick.

    UP THE ARGYLE!

Wow.. not sure it deserves that accolade but thank you very much.. I thought the ladies were going to spoil the video at the time but I couldnt ask them to be quiet, they were so excited!!
