It looked as if 70000 was being run at a good rate of speed during the gala.

 

The Brit put on the best performances, while the Scot was eased into service on the first two day's. By Saturday the Scot was being worked a lot more !

I suggested it was general WCRC Southall-Carnforth path.

However @gwr4090 quoted my post and suggested that it was 'Devon & Cornwall Railways job, with 56312 leading Tornado and coach.' which would suggest the WSR move, hence my confusion as the original path I responded to was going to Carnforth.

I think in conclusion you are correct
