SVR Diesel Gala 1st-3rd October 2015

It may be a case of the GCRN wanting that to be a draw for them for a bit longer but you never know.

 

I enjoyed this years event and the Saturday was a busy as I have seen it on a Diesel gala at the SVR I do like the move to may as hopefully it will be a little warmer.

 

Not according to it's driver on Thursday, who arranged it.

 

Better go somewhere other than SVR in May then to see most of those, thankfully.

 

Why are you thankful about that?

 

It was a joke about it being on a non-stop later. Someone was annoyed that they still had to stop at Bewdley.

 

Yes, it was very noticeable on Saturday with the sun not out for most of the day. Of course the move to May also means there's more of a gap between steam and diesel galas, with 2 months between the SSG and diesel gala next year as opposed to only 2 weeks between the ASG and diesel gala this year. More chance for people to recover between events.

The Severn Valley has it all, doesn't it? Near a lot of people, beautiful scenery, lovely country stations, good beer and friendly staff. Although I live 250 miles away, I never regret making the effort to come.
