ELR Autumn Steam Gala 17th 18th October 2015

At one stage on Sunday, there were 7 locos at Ramsbottom - 32, 75008 and 80080 on the 14.05 Bury to Rawtenstall, 34092, 12322 and 13065 on the 14.05 Rawtenstall to Bury and 132 in the sidings having arrived on the 13.00 Heywood to Ransbottom. Only thing missing was 6430 and the two auto-trailers.

By the way, anyone know why 32 was removed from the 14.05 Bury to Rawtenstall and spent the rest of the afternoon at Ramsbottom?

 

Over the weekend it developed an issue with the slide valves and there wouldn't seat on their faces hence losing all power. Shame but the engine hasn't done so many miles in a long time. Teething problems and hopefully sorted before too lone and with ease.

 

Is she likely to be used during galas and similar again, rather than just Thomas' then? Was great to have her out.

 

There is every chance. Maybe not every one though.
