Will it go via Hellifield and Blackburn or WCML direct? Anyone know?

Think it's picking up along the little north western route.

The red one running early at Cherry Tree, union jack 47 on the rear. Weather dire.

Footage of 45699 passing the old Wilpshire station on the final climb up to Ramsgreave Summit then thundering up the WCML at Charnock Richard with virtually no assistance.

Great locations there Steve, particularly liked the early morning Borwick shot, The weather for this evening looks a lot better so you may get something special then. Many thanks for sharing. Cheers, Alan

Good stuff Steve. It really was a most enjoyable trip with a superb performance from 'Galatea' , footplate crews and in deed the Carnforth stewards (no Ralph to be seen). It seems strange that the usual armchair 10A fan club do not appear to have anything to say to date regarding this trip?

I have to agree with you shep, a superb run both ways yesterday. 45699 sounded superb leaving Warrington.
