    08-40 ex-Hereford arrive KDR 10-06...

    SVR departure at 10-05.

Just an unfortunate timing, so maybe 10-48 Auto to Bewdley, and then pick up 7802 on the 11-20 ex-KDR, hopefully the Auto will be two coaches not just one.

Anyway, I'm working on this one! Comments above re the KDR car park duly noted. Thanks for the warning. I think the builders were taking up some space there during the ASG.

I suppose driving to Bridgnorth is another option, but what state the "field" car park now after the rain?

    Maybe not a good idea.

I wouldn't want to risk the field tbf after the rain we've had this week and I think the first half of next week is due to be a little wet as well.

Thanks, that's what I thought. KDR it is, by train.

Kje7812: If I might pose you a question please: The key to riding a good variety of trains on the Saturday looks to be arriving at BH at 12-35 and catching the 12-40 out of BH with 4566. Presumably this looks viable provided you detrain near the footbridge, and bearing in mind the bobby has to walk the length of the platform with the token for 4566?

5 mins should be fine at Bridgnorth, coach 3 or 4 IMO would be nearest to the footbridge. The station staff at Bridgnorth seem good at ensuring people make the connection.

Nothing official, but I gather it's staying put. Tbf I don't think there was anything official about it coming back to began with, just mentions in the mags.

Considerable effort has been put into trying to arrange removal & transport in time for next weekends event. In the end it has not been possible to get all the necessary resources available at the right time to allow this to happen. It is'nt just a matter of sending a low loader to Swindon.
The loco will now be returned to the SVR at a later date possibly early in 2016.

To save speculation over the weekend the three Manor should be facing as follows:

7802 facing Bridgnorth - likely to be turned sat morning
7812 facing Bridgnorth - as it does curently
7820 facing Kidderminster - to be turned by the weekend

So 7802 will be facing Kiddy and 7820 facing Bridgnorth on Friday?

The current weather forecast is wet for most of Saturday and dry but cloudy on Sunday. Though considering the reliability of most forecasts, who knows what it will do!

Website claims that 7812 is facing Kidderminster - is that wrong then?

Sadly looks as though "Abigail" is going to make Saturday rather wet, but at least those who do brave the elements should get a seat in some nice cosy rolling stock!

Not long to go now and we are certainly looking forward to it, we shall have a stand at Kidderminster so do come and say hello.

Sadly the weather may not be as kind as hoped for but it would be a great shame if a bit of moisture was to put people off and harm the success of an event that much time, effort and investment has gone in to organising, 5 engines including a visitor and all for standard fares, not to be missed. The trains will be dry and warm, see you there!

We hope visitors enjoy 1450 and the auto as its appearance is being sponsored by Severn valley photocharters and 30742 charters
