East Lanc's Diesel Theme Day 7 November 2015

For the like minded paraffin can followers, English Electric theme day this Saturday, link to timetable below:

5 loco's plus the 117 dmu, already worked the timetable to ensure haulage behind each one. Exercising one of our members tickets (valid for this event), the wife and myself will be having a blast around the line again, always a good day out this one.

 

I'm doing the 16 cylinder train in the morning and the 12 cylinder train in the afternoon. I've flagged the 31 in favour of the double-header. It's a shame it's not doing more.

 

Wonderful day on the railway, if not the weather, good day to be inside a train! Everything ran to time, early in a few cases, trains were well filled.
Thoroughly enjoyed the day, thanks to everyone at the ELR for organising it, looking forward to the next one.
