Has any statement been made about whether 60103 will be registered on DBS books once it's certified, as well as WCR naturally?

I believe it's Steam Dreams, part of their holidays brochure.

The Cambrian one from Steam Dreams looks quite good.

Well, nothing preventing you from joining. Ian Riley and his staff are doing what they do, they have a deadline, and know how to work towards it. The work carried out on the Black Fives over the years, carefully prepared for and scheduled should have convinced all enthusiasts that the work to be carried out on the A3 would be equally well planned.

    I don't think it's a democratic forum. They don't tolerate any criticism..

Very nice pictures on the Works forum. Hopefully they will put some up on the NRM/FS site soon so that more people can see that she is nearly ready.
She looks rather good in her current 103/502 Black Guise.
Perhaps with all the Hype surrounding Star Wars at the moment they could capitalise on this Black livery by running her in with Darth Scotsman nameplates.....;) "Come and ride behind Darth Vaders first vessel!"

For those not on The Works forum, the gist is that she externally is largely complete and was shunted outside coupled to her tender, Balfour Beatty were there carrying out their laser gauging.

Quite a few folks who post here also post over there. It's worth joining for the photos of what's going on at Riley & Son, even if you only plan to "lurk"

That must be a real pig of a job bending and shaping all the pipes to fit the mechanical lubricators! Its bad enough trying to replace a simple brake pipe on your car!!
